Benton Swift Joins Westcore As Vice President Of Acquisitions
New Hire Expands Westcore’s Regional Acquisitions Model into East Coast Industrial and Logistics Markets
Benton (Ben) Swift has joined Westcore, a fully integrated real estate investment company, as Vice President of Acquisitions. Swift will lead the sourcing and execution of industrial real estate acquisitions and developments across the East Coast, with a focus on identifying opportunities across key industrial and logistics markets, including New Jersey, New York, Washington, D.C., Eastern Pennsylvania, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham and South Florida.
The appointment provides dedicated regional leadership and strengthens Westcore’s local presence across the East Coast industrial markets.
“We are excited to have Ben join the Westcore team,” said Westcore’s Chief Acquisitions Officer Hack Adams. “His background in both acquisitions and ground-up development, coupled with an established East Coast brokerage network, will play a key role in our continued efforts to expand our portfolio from New York/New Jersey to South Florida.”
In his role, Swift will oversee market analysis, underwriting, due diligence and transaction execution for East Coast opportunities and work closely with Westcore’s leadership and portfolio management teams to ensure new acquisitions align with the firm’s investment strategy.
Swift joined Westcore from Lovett Industrial, where he served as Director and East Region Market Lead. During his tenure, the East Region grew from two properties to 5.2 million square feet of developments and acquisitions totaling more than $700 million. Swift helped oversee the establishment and expansion of the East Region business and was responsible for sourcing, capital raising, execution and management of industrial acquisitions and developments across the region.
Prior to Lovett Industrial, Swift spent more than four years at Hines as an Analyst and Associate in the firm’s San Diego office, where he led the analysis and underwriting of the firm’s San Diego business and helped lead the acquisition of more than 1.2 million square feet of industrial and office properties.
“Westcore has built a strong reputation in the industrial real estate industry and has positioned itself for significant growth. I’m honored to join the Westcore team and look forward to helping expand our portfolio across our targeted East Coast markets,” said Swift.
Swift holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Mathematics from Colby College.
