Westcore Colorado Tax-Exempt Fund
Names New Fund Manger

May 24, 1999Westcore Funds is pleased to name Thomas Stevens, CFA, as fund manager for the Westcore Colorado Tax-Exempt Fund. Robert Lindig, who served as manager of the Fund since its inception in 1991, will retire and transition his responsibilities to Stevens on May 28, 1999.

With 28 years of investment experience, Stevens brings a solid fixed-income background and a seasoned market perspective to this position. Since joining Westcore’s investment manager, Denver Investment Advisors, in 1986, Stevens has been primarily responsible for managing fixed-income portfolios of large institutional clients. His prior work experience includes serving as Vice President of Fixed Income at Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia and working as Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Fixed Income at National Investment Services of America.

Stevens has worked as a part of the Denver Investment Advisors’ fixed income team for 13 years. Stevens is confident that the transition of management for the Fund will be smooth. "Shareholders can expect our dedication in meeting client objectives to continue as the Fund’s philosophy of emphasizing high-quality Colorado tax-exempt holdings will remain intact," said Stevens.
