Capital Gains Distributions
December 1, 1998—As a service to our shareholders,
Westcore Funds announces the following estimated capital gains distribution figures for
the 1998 year end to assist individuals with their personal tax planning. The record date
for the distribution is December 15, 1998. These per share capital gain distribution
amounts are estimates only, based on shares outstanding at November 30, 1998. These
estimates are subject to change, upon final calculation.

IMPORTANT NOTICE for both Westcore Growth and Income Fund
and Westcore Small-Cap Opportunity Fund shareholders: In an effort to reduce the capital
gains incurred during 1998, Westcore is deferring distribution of a portion of its capital
gains incurred during this year until 1999 as a special distribution. It is anticipated
that, subject to board action, this distribution will be declared and paid prior to
February 15, 1999 and will be included in the 1999 taxable year.
This information should provide all shareholders with the
most up-to-date information available regarding their Westcore distributions. If
