WESTCORE PLUS BOND FUND SURPASSES $1B IN
ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT
DENVER-(BUSINESS WIRE)-[08/08/07], 2007-The
Westcore Plus Bond Fund (WTIBX) recently achieved an important
milestone by accumulating more than $1 billion in assets under
management. Under the direction of co-managers Mark R. McKissick
and William E. Stafford, Jr., the Fund has earned top industry
ratings and strong, long-term performance by employing a bottom-up,
fundamental research methodology that focuses on credit quality,
underlying asset value and income stream.
The Westcore Plus Bond Fund seeks long-term
total rate of return, consistent with preservation of capital,
by investing primarily in investment-grade bonds of varying
maturities. According to Mark McKissick, this disciplined
and consistent investment process is the primary driver behind
the Fund's solid performance and strong asset growth.
"By making long-term investments in bonds
that we believe can withstand diverse economic environments
and market cycles, the Westcore Plus Bond Fund has provided
consistent results for our shareholders," said McKissick.
Low turnover and low expenses also benefit the
Fund's shareholders. "Our philosophy is that yield drives
long-term total return versus market timing," said William
Stafford. "We're long-term investors seeking to generate
consistently positive incremental returns, making the Fund
an attractive option for long-term investors who are seeking
current income or portfolio diversification."
Stafford and McKissick work with the entire
fixed-income investment team to identify individual bonds
that meet the Fund's strict criteria. To narrow the pool of
investible securities, they employ independent investment
research that involves examining companies one-by-one along
with detailed analytical expertise.
