WESTCORE FUNDS’ PORTFOLIO MANAGER ANNOUNCES INTENTION TO RETIRE
DENVER-Westcore Growth Fund Lead
Portfolio Manager Milford H. Schulhof, II has announced his
intention to retire from Denver Investment Advisors LLC, the
Funds adviser, effective August 2, 2004. Current Westcore
Growth Fund Co-Portfolio Manager Victoria K. Cunningham will
continue to serve in that capacity.
“Mil Schulhof has played a key role in our research and portfolio management efforts for over 25 years and we wish him well as he embarks upon the next chapter of his life,” said Jeffrey D. Adams, Westcore Funds President. “At the same time, we take great comfort in knowing Victoria Cunningham is a seasoned stock-picker with 17 years of investment management experience. Working side by side with our analytical team, we are confident that she will continue to generate sound investment ideas for the Westcore Growth Fund.”
Ms. Cunningham joined Denver Investment Advisors in 2000 as a Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Wealth Management Group and was appointed Co-Portfolio Manager for Westcore Growth Fund in October 2003. Prior to joining Denver Investments Advisors, she served as Senior Portfolio Manager with Wells Fargo and as Portfolio Manager with United Management Asset Services. She will work closely with Mr. Schulhof over the next five months to ensure a seamless transition in portfolio management responsibilities for the Westcore Growth Fund.
“Mr. Schulhof’s retirement and subsequent management team changes are not expected to result in modifications to the Fund’s investment objective,” said Mr. Adams. “The Westcore Growth Fund will continue to seek long-term total return by investing in equity securities selected for their growth potential and income-producing abilities.”
